Oceania Aviation Acquired By Salus Aviation

On Thursday the 2nd of November Oceania Aviation was acquired by Salus Aviation, an aircraft finance and leasing company. Salus Aviation will now be a focused single entity that progresses the development of general aviation business in Australasia with maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capability, aircraft sales, finance and leasing as well as aircraft operations.

Oceania Aviation directors Gordon Luke and Josh Camp have joined the board of Salus Aviation with Don McCracken continuing his role as Chief Executive of Oceania Aviation.

We would like to assure our customers that nothing will change the day-to-day operations of Oceania Aviation.

“We have a great opportunity to access capital to grow our business by joining Salus. The two companies have worked together for some time and in formalising our arrangements we can move to another level of performance and services we can offer the market. There will be no staff changes and in fact, this will give us the ability to employ even more skilled people”  Gordon Luke said.

This acquisition will result in the Salus Aviation group of companies operating in two sectors of the general aviation industry. The first being MRO under the Oceania Aviation banner and the second that of aircraft operations. Gisborne Helicopters was acquired by Salus Aviation earlier this year as part of the aircraft operations sector.

Working under Salus Aviation will increase Oceania Aviation’s capabilities, access to capital and in return increase the benefit we can offer our customers.
