Our Avionics Manager, Philip Hutchings, returned from his March trip to the USA in high spirits. Not only did he attend the 2017 HAI Heli-Expo and AEA New Orleans 2017 convention but he finalised our agreement with L-3 Avionics to be their New Zealand Dealer. 

L-3 have 13 locations situated across the globe and bring to the market a wide range of products to meet a variety of flight requirements. They provide solutions for ADS-B, Recording, Collision Awareness/TCAS, Display/Processing, Terrain Awareness, Transponders and more. 

In 2015, L-3 introduced an affordable and innovative ADS-B and transponder product line to address both present and future needs of both fixed wing and rotor aircraft. This is their Lynx Multilink Surveillance System line which at the end of 2015 the Lynx NGT 9000 ADS-B solution received the FLYING Editors' Choice Award. Key features of their Lynx product line include remote or panel mount, touch screen display, easy installation, option for active traffic (TAS), reduced weight and lower cost.
