Airshow China 2016

We are pleased to announce our attendance at The 11th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition, being held in Zhuhai from November 1st - 6th.

Oceania Aviation has been working together with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise with a view to highlighting New Zealand’s progressive and extensive support capabilities to the emerging Chinese aviation market. Writing in May 2016, AIN writer Curt Epstein wrote, “Massive changes to China’s general aviation infrastructure and policies are ahead after recent initiatives announced by the Chinese State Council. Acknowledging that general aviation is vital to the country’s transportation system and just as important as commercial aviation, the council named general aviation the next engine to drive the Chinese economy.”

This was followed by a commitment by the government body to construct over 300 new General Aviation airports by 2020. The unprecedented investment in GA by the Chinese authorities presents a huge opportunity for New Zealand GA businesses to work together with Chinese commercial partners to grow and develop GA specific capabilities to support the emerging Chinese industry. Oceania Aviation, who will be sharing a NZTE Pavilion with other New Zealand GA industry leaders, Pacific Aerospace, Martin Jet Pack and NZICPA, will be represented by company Director, Josh Camp and Aircraft Sales and Marketing Manager, Stephen Boyce.

When asked what their expectations of the Zhuhai event were Camp replied, “China’s such a vast and exciting market that any ambitions beyond learning and understanding the needs of the Chinese industry could be perceived as presumptive. Our intention is to build new relationships with potential future Chinese partners and reconnect with our existing Chinese and overseas based commercial partners.

Both Josh and Stephen are available for commercial meetings throughout the week of the Zhuhai event by appointment.
